YaYa's Life: My Flat and HK holiday trip

Busy like mad for the passed few months. Finally 2 things off my mind now.

1st thing: HK Holiday

Planned this trip in march this year. HK wasnt in my travel list but wanted to finish conquering Asia before i move on to the rest of the world. Done with Taiwan, Japan, Korea for the past years and this year Hong Kong too. Dunn ask me abt Mainland China, aint gg there forever. HK which is part of China already got me pissed off seriously.

Things to note gg HK during Summer.

1) Dripping of water everywhere. Their building is old, but why their air con damn old too?? Those kind of box style of air con and it's fucking irritating having to walk below and got drip by those dirty water.

2) It's summer, which also means summer vacation for the students. Needless to say, places like disneyland got flooded with those mainland China family and their locals too. Everywhere is crowd, everywhere is queue.. zzz!

3) Those mainland China ppl seriously got no "fair" word in their virtue. Cutting queue is their forte. Thanks god i got to know this before i step into HK. Hence me and dear had preventive measures to avoid having our queue cut.

4) I need to lost weight again. The food in HK = oily. Dim sum oily, roasted food = oily, road side food stall = oily. I felt so sinfully everytime i eat.

HK Disneyland is the smallest disneyland i've visited after Japan. I give 3 stars out of 5 stars reason being not enough to play, not much mechandise to buy. The only plus point is the billingual languages and shorter waiting queue. Disappointed with the pop corn sold there too. =((

Overall, I din really enjoyed this trip especially when i din buy alot and yet i spend a lot. The same thing that happened in Korea. But at least i get to try skiing and in HK i felt like i'm in SG. =

2 things off my mind: My Flat =D

Yes, I've applied my first flat probably in Feb in this year but due to the high demand of flats, we've not invited to do any selection. Then in April, me and dear applied for the second time and tada! In June, we gotten a pretty good numbers. =)) We were overjoyed! Really excited abt it too. So we will informed that selection of flats will start in Aug/Sep, so meanwhile, me and dear's family will busy giving advices on which unit to choose.

However, just after our flight details are confirmed and full payment, the booklet arrived to inform that our selection date actually falls on the same day as our HK trip. Me and dear did all we can to change our flight, but was too late to do anything. Even till the last day, we went to HDB to discuss abt this issue too, but nothing can be done. So in the end we had no choice but to authorise dear's family to help us.

Dear was really happy went the selection was done. We're gotten the 2nd highest floor but my dad wasnt really happy as the unit was too close to the opposite block.

Anyway, i'm fine with it too cuz i guess curtains can help to shield the unwanted attention too.

Although the flat will only be ready in abt 4 years time, I'm already started looking for ideas to renovate my house. =)) Needless to say i dunn have to worry much since my family is already in this line =P

Till today, i'm still as excited as the first day when i know i can own my own house. Waiting eagerly for that day to come.

Phew this gotta be a long blog spot. Seriously overdue.
