It's almost mid Jan 2011 and this is my first post for 2011.
Year 2010 came as fast as it goes.
Travelling is already my favourite hobby now. Spent my first day of the year in Taiwan and subsequently family trip to Korea. First time step into Hong Kong with Eric dear in August and then my annual trip to Bintan.
My life takes a major move in 2010 too. Eric dear and applied our first flat in Feb 2010 (Fernvale Ridge) and was unsuccessful. We tried again in Apr 2010 (Punggol Emerald) and fortunately we have gotten a good queue number and manage to secure ourselves our first flat. The entire process of selecting the flat was painful yet very exciting at the same time. Even though we couldnt select our first choice, we still able to select high level unit. ^^
Spent lotsa of money in 2010 too. First i purchase my second hand Yahama U1 piano and then my digital Casio piano. In total i spent almost $5,000 on Piano. It was a mistake that i spent so much on a second hand piano when i could actually buy a first hand. Nevertheless, it's a lesson i must learn when it comes to spending big bucks in future.
Currently, my progress on Piano was slow and painful (in terms of fingers). My theory are already in grade 3 and my practical wise is still in grade 1 which is acutally slow. It is pretty normal to be slightly slower in my progress cuz i have never come across music in my life. I know i'm doing a great job on learning.
Left my previous banking post in Mar and start working for my ex-workplace in Apr. After spending around 2 years working in a big company, i left the place feeling sad and happy at the same time. Sad that i'm left my colleagues and the network that i've established and happy that i'm no longer under lousy management. My new workplace has a great view of the Singapore flyer and all the major hotels and buildings in SG and more importantly, i've earn myself a really great boss. I know i should treasure it and i must work hard to maintance my quality of work and my attendance too. =(
Even though i'm no longer having stress over school work/projects and result, i have other duties, obligations and responsibilities that is weighing me down. The ongoing court case (still on-going) since 2010 until now was entirely a nightmare to me. Cried over and over again and i knew it was no use. It is something that i must face in my life.
I also conquered my first 5km and 10km marathon in my life. Despite consistently being sick for the past few years, i manage to squeeze training after work and during weekends. I wouldn't say i'm good but at least i got a decent timing for my 10km marathon (finish in 1h19mins). Glad to say that i'm proud of myself.
Every year i made the same resolution to lost weight, yet i always failed to accomplish. So this year, instead of trying to lost weight, i shall be just keep myself disicipline enough to run twice a week. This is not easy especially when there are always difference factors like weather or other responsibilities to disrupt your routine.
Last but not least, the last day of 2010, 31 Dec, was the 5th year knowing Eric dear. If you doesnt surf the facebook or read Eric's Dear blog, he actually propose to me on that day. I was so touched that he sang one of our favourite songs, pop the question on the stage infront of hundred of ppl and yes i say yes. So now i'm engaged! ^^
With a new status in 2011, i look forward to what the future holds for us. We have already signed up 2 bridal salon for our photoshoot in 2012 and wedding is currently in planning stage. Even though tentatively date will be between Oct-Dec 2012, i rather planned early than having last minute panicked.
